Finally, your argument about diversity and jingoism verge on the ironic. The diversity of programming environments for the iPhone OS is being reduced by Apple's policies. If you think about Apple's actual motives (rather than their stated motives) you'll realize that it's practically the definition of jingoism: "extreme patriotism in the form of aggressive foreign policy". They want to make it harder for developers to develop for multiple platforms, in the hopes that they'll only develop for iPhone OS.
I have a suspicion that this will backfire. The best developers don't use one tool/language to write everything. The best developers are fluent in a wide variety of tools and use the best tool for each particular job. Only mediocre developers use only one development tool/language, whether that's Flash, Objective-C, or whatever.

ブログの該当個所を見る限り、開発者もAppleも結局「特異なものは全て駆除したり浄化したりしようという一種の「愛国主義」である」と言いたいみたいです。
